The inaugural function of The Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers (IIChE) Student Chapter
was organized by the Department of Chemical Engineering, Government Engineering
College Bharuch Bharuch on 8th August 2020.
The inaugural session started with the welcome
address by Prof. N.R.Vaghela, Head of Chemical Engineering Department GEC Bharuch. Principal Dr. S.R. Joshi Government Engineering College,
Bharuch welcomed all the dignitaries from IIChE Ankleshwar regional center.
The function was inaugurated by Shri S. I. Thakar Chairman, IIChE, Ankleshwar Regional Centre. He spoke about the IIChE and enlightened everyone about the various
activities of IIChE in general. Dr. Sachin Parikh Joint
Director DTE, Head Department of Chemical Engineering, L D College of
Engineering graced the function and
spoke at the inaugural session. The vote of thanks was proposed by Faculty Coordinator Dr. Naina Harish Tahilramani Chemical Engineering Department Government Engineering College at the end of the inaugural seminar.
The inauguration function was followed by the presentation of two lectures by
renowned authorities in the field of chemical engineering.
The first lecture was delivered by Shri S.I. Thakar (Chairman IIChE Ankleshwar Regional Center) on “Utilizing opportunities for career Building” via Microsoft Teams.
Vicechairman Shri M.I. Samsi, Bharuch Region, Shri Joy Shah (Student Chapter Coordinator IIChE Ankleshwar Regional Center), Shri A. I Sheikh (Honorary secretary, IIChE), Shri Snehal Sir (Honorary Treasurer IIChE) spoke at the inaugural session.
