Speaker Profile:
Shri Snehal Tranlsawala has passed out B.E. Chem. From DDIT in 1986 and Masters in Chemical Engineering from Villanova University US Philadelphia. He has also done one-year Programme on Certificate of Business Excellence with University of California, Berkely. He has worked with multinational company in US for 9 years. He returned to Bharuch in 1998 and since then have worked with UPL, Isagro, Cheminova, Omnova Solution in local area in the field of production, Operation Excellence and Safety. Currently he is self-employed in commercial/financial areas. He is Hon. Treasurer IIChE Ankleshwar Regional Centre Bharuch.

Expert talk was organized by Chemical Engineering Department, GEC Bharuch on “Plant Economics (Cash flow)” under the banner of IIChE student’s chapter.
Following topics were covered in Expert lecture.
• Cash flow for industrial operations
• Cumulative cash flow
• Breakeven point.
• Tree diagram showing cash flow for industrial operations
• Factors affecting investment and production costs
• Fixed capital and working capital cost
In the expert lecture, Mr. Snehal Tralsawala explained the importance of project management. He has discussed about Cash flow, Cumulative cash flow, breakeven point and significance of cash flow in plant design. He explained Tree diagram showing cash flow for industrial operations with various case studies. He explained estimation of equipment cost by scaling. Students were able to understand the Significance of Economics in the field of Chemical Engineering.
